Today, March 14 important webinar on RJ and DMV
Webinar To Examine Restorative Justice and Disproportionate Minority Contact

On March 14, 2012, at 2 p.m. E.T., the Office of Juvenile Justice and
Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) will present the Webinar, “The Road to
Juvenile Justice: The Intersection of Restorative Justice and
Disproportionate Minority Contact.”

Juvenile justice practitioners must strike a balance between ensuring
public safety and justice and accountability for youth affected by
disproportionate minority contact (DMC). Restorative justice practices
implemented at the "nine points of contact" within the juvenile justice
system can be effective tools to reduce DMC. This Webinar will examine
strategies that both rural and urban communities use to hold youth
accountable and will consider how they can support local DMC-reduction
efforts.

Registration is available online.
