Single Payer Supreme Court and the Obama Protection Racket

Of the hundreds of antagonists in front of the Supreme Court yesterday, only five raised the banner for single payer.

Kevin Zeese, Dr. Margaret Flowers, Dr. Carol Paris and me - Russell Mokhiber.

And Oliver Hall, the attorney who wrote the brief filed by Single Payer action, It's Our Economy and 50 single payer doctors calling on the justices to strike down Obama's individual mandate and making the case for getting rid of the private health insurance corporations and replacing them with one single public payer.

We were holding a banner that reads - Single Payer Now, Strike Down Obama Mandate.

The Obama people - many of them closet single payer supporters - were effectively gagged by Obama and the Democrats from openly criticizing Obama's law - which entrenches the private health insurance industry.

The anti-Obama people, while agreeing with us that the mandate should be struck down, want to move in a different direction - back to a pure pay or die system.

But the anti-Obama people are honest about where they want to go.

The Obama people are not.

In their hearts, they want single payer. But they can't say it, because they are engaged in an Obama Protection Racket.

Got to bust that racket before we move on to protecting the American people.

Onward to single payer.
