Critical Juncture: Act for Bradley Manning
 Nov. 27th - Dec. 3rd
International call to action! Rally at recruiting centers and elsewhere to demand fair treatment for Bradley.
November 27-December 2, WikiLeaks whistle-blower Bradley Manning's defense will be facing off with the military prosecution in Ft. Meade to argue that all charges should be dismissed because of "unlawful pretrial punishment". Read more about the unlawful torture and abuse here. At this extremely important hearing, Bradley's lawyer David Coombs will focus on the abuse Bradley endured in Quantico, VA, which was declared by UN Chief Rapporteur on Torture Juan Mendez to be "cruel, inhuman and degrading."
This hearing is one of the defense's final chances to reduce possible sentencing, second in importance only to the court martial which begins next February 4th. It's a crucial chance for the public to show the military and the media that they still support Bradley, by staging protests around the world and sending messages to top U.S. military officials.

Events around the world in support of Bradley Manning. Add yours today!

For information about the protest happening on Nov 27 at Ft. Meade in the DC area, go to our website.
For those unable to attend the DC area events, we are calling for rallies at local military recruiting offices and U.S. embassies during the hearing.
We ask that you take photos of your group holding "We are Bradley Manning" signs, or a similarly supportive message, and then mail that to the following officials:

Army Chief of Staff

General Raymond Odierno

Chief of Staff of the US Army

101 Army Pentagon, Rm. 3E672

Washington DC 20310-0200
President Barack Obama

The White House

1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW

Washington, DC 20500

Use our new event tool to register your action on our website.  After the event, when mailing your photo to the above officials, please include a brief letter of explanation. For example,
"We gathered on November 27, 2012 in front of the recruiting center in (city, state) to protest the mistreatment of military whistle-blower PFC Bradley Manning. Whistle-blowers play an important role in a democracy, and by revealing evidence of unpunished war crimes, as well as secret corporate influence on U.S. foreign policy, Bradley Manning acted in the interest of American citizens. We are appalled by the nine months Bradley was forced to spend in solitary confinement at Quantico, VA in addition to the fact he will have spent over 900 days in prison before receiving a trial. Please free Bradley Manning."
Please also submit photos of your action to owen at bradleymanning.org., and to the "I Am Bradley Manning" photo campaign.

Bradley's lawyer, David CoombsOn December 3, 2012, at 7pm EST, Army PFC Bradley Manning’s civilian defense lawyer David Coombs will make his first ever public appearance to provide an overview of pending defense motions before the court and other facts regarding U.S. v. Manning.
Speaking in Washington DC, Mr. Coombs is expected to focus on the unlawful pretrial punishment PFC Manning was subjected to for nine months while at the Marine Corps Base, Quantico, Virginia--the subject of international outrage and a UN investigation.
The Government’s denial of PFC Manning’s right to a speedy trial will also be before the military court. Accused military whistle-blower and Nobel Peace Prize nominee PFC Manning has been in prison for over 900 days. PFC Manning’s court martial is currently scheduled to begin February 4, 2013.
The event will also feature brief presentations from Bradley Manning Support Network spokespeople Emma Cape and whistle-blower Dr. Marsha Coleman-Adebayo, and an appeal from David House in support of Bradley Manning's defense fund.
This event will be live-streamed at bradleymanning.org.
We ask that you consider organizing a group viewing of the presentation.
