     Good article, sad... but no mention that Israel's not-so-hidden motive seems to be that yet more settlements are about to be built on yet more appropriated land... 
     Here's my favorite sentence from the article:
"But the electoral fortunes of Ehud Barak, sometimes described as 
Netanyahu’s political Siamese twin and a military mentor to Netanyahu 
from their commando days together, have been looking grim indeed."
