Good news... but meanwhile, TV ads by the opposition say that Gill wants to get rid of Medicare. Is there really no way to stop these shameless liars?

Dear MoveOn member,


The results are in: MoveOn members in Illinois' 13th District voted overwhelmingly to endorse Dr. David Gill for the U.S.
House. 


David Gill is a doctor who understands what it will take to get Illinois' middle class back on track. He worked his way through
school after losing his father at a young age because he was determined to serve. He will be a progressive fighter for the
people of Illinois by fighting for Medicare for All, protecting Social Security, and reining in Wall Street power. 


An enthusiastic 96% of MoveOn members voting in the 13th District supported David. Joan H. from Mt. Zion said,
"He cares about other people. He understands the health care system.  We need an national health care program and
he can help make it happen." Karen V. from Urbana added, "We need David Gill. He gives me hope!"


When David heard about our endorsement, here is what he said: 




"I'm honored to have Moveon.org's endorsement in my campaign. I have never been on a public payroll or taken orders
from a politician and I will fight to make millionaires pay their fair share. As an ER doctor, I know right from wrong and
will protect Medicare from cuts. I am not taking a penny from Wall Street and I will bring strong medicine to clean up Congress."




David Gill has pledged not to take a penny from Wall Street bankers who he thinks have become too powerful in Washington.
That's why David needs MoveOn members to join his campaign and win this race at the grassroots level.
