Rock and roll hall of famer Graham Nash playing fundraising event for Bradley Manning

On Friday, October 26, the Bradley Manning Support Network is proud to
present an evening in support of Bradley Manning featuring an intimate
performance by legendary singer-songwriter Graham Nash in Santa Monica,
California. Graham Nash will be accompanied by additional members of
"Crosby, Stills & Nash" James Raymond and Shane Fontayne. Campaign organizer
Emma Cape will give a brief update as well.
The event will be held at the Church in Ocean Park (235 Hill Street, Santa
Monica, California 90405) and is set to begin at 7:30pm. A limited number of
tickets are available for $72.50 in advance ($90 at the door if any remain
available). Donors may also purchase a special pre-performance reception
with Graham Nash, which includes a show ticket. A large portion of each
ticket is tax-deductible.

Event hosted by and a benefit for the Bradley Manning Support Network, with
the support of Courage to Resist, Interfaith Communities United for Justice
and Peace, Veterans for Peace-LA Chapter, Iraq Veterans Against the War - Los Angeles, and KPFK Radio 90.7FM Los Angeles.

October 30th hearing will address motion to dismiss charges with prejudice for lack of a speedy trial.
At Bradley Manning’s latest hearing, October 17-18, Judge Denise Lind announced that she’d ordered the prosecution to turn over all but 12 of the remaining 700 or so Quantico emails regarding Bradley’s abusive conditions there. She also ruled on several motions: she granted most of the prosecution’s redactions of FBI, DHS, and other governmental documents dealing with harm or lack thereof from WikiLeaks’ releases; she refused to take judicial notice of the verbatim transcripts of Collateral Murder in David Finkel’s 2009 book The Good Soldiers, and took notice of some government statements on WikiLeaks’ lack of harm that the defense submitted.
Then the defense and prosecution agreed to a defense questionnaire and prosecution affidavit to discern whether the government was sufficiently diligent in providing Bradley with a speedy trial, instead of calling dozens of the defense’s proposed witnesses. The government’s speedy trial witnesses will be called at the October 30-November 2 (initially scheduled to start October 29), and the defense’s portion of that motion will be litigated December 10-14.

In support of accused WikiLeaks whistle-blower US Army PFC Bradley Manning, through November 6, 2012, the Brightwater Fund will contribute one dollar for every dollar donated to the Bradley Manning Defense Fund, up to $50,000.
