Coming up SOON!! Any hosts out there?? Maybe combine forces at CPL or UFL w/ wireless if their auditoriums don't block streaming. Unfortunately the start time for the live streaming turns out to be 4p CDT.

The Bradley Manning Support Network needs to raise funds to continue to fight for Bradley Manning. On September 30th there will be a special fundraising event in Washington DC. Those not in the area are invited to watch the event live. Next month the Bradley Manning Support Network is calling on supporters to host their own fundraising party to mark the anniversary of the release of the Iraq war logs, and to help raise funds for Bradley's defense fund.

Host a party to boost Bradley's defense!
We must raise significant funds to cover Bradley’s legal fees over the next several months. Please help organize a fundraiser, or donate today! On October 22, 2010, WikiLeaks released the Iraq War Logs, which revealed details of civilian casualties that the U.S. military had otherwise denied the American press.
Not only was the body count higher than previously reported, but the American military was failing to investigate reported torture of Iraqi civilians.
The release of the logs created heightened interest in the state of human rights in Iraq, and thousands of news articles worldwide.
As we arrive at the second anniversary of that date, one phase of the Iraq War has ended, but the accused whistle-blower Bradley Manning will have spent over 880 days in prison without trial.
Thanks to efforts of thousands of public citizens around the world, Bradley has been able to afford the civilian legal defense of his choice, David Coombs, at no great cost to his family.
Because of the government’s delays in turning over evidence to the defense, an additional $50,000 has been added to legal costs.
We think the best gift we give Bradley Manning this holiday season, besides a strong and growing grassroots support movement, is a fully-funded legal defense.
Please host a house party fundraiser for Bradley Manning the week before the anniversary of the Iraq War Logs’ release.
It’s a great chance to educate acquaintances about Bradley’s case and the importance of whistle-blowing more generally, in addition to directly supporting our fight for Bradley’s freedom.

You simply follow the link to register. You can select whether or not to make your event open to the public (select “Keep the RSVP page hidden” for private).
Once registered, we will send you materials to share with your guests, such as factsheets and an edited video of a pro-Bradley Manning speaking event featuring statements from journalist Chris Hedges, in addition to whistle-blowers Jesselyn Radack and Thomas Drake, and Bradley’s friend David House.
Remember: in a case of government corruption vs. the people’s right to know, with a young truth-teller’s freedom on the line, supporters like you make all the difference!
Host a house party!
