Champaign County Health Care Consumers (CCHCC) is participating in
National Voter Registration Day on Tuesday, September 25, 2012! CCHCC will
be registering individuals to vote at the Parkland College Wellness Fair on
Tuesday, September 25 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. We will also be having a Voter
Registration Drive in the CCHCC office all day Tuesday from 10 a.m. until 4
p.m.

ARE YOU REGISTERED TO VOTE? IF NOT, CCHCC CAN HELP YOU!

Champaign County Health Care Consumers has staff and volunteers who are
trained Deputy Registrars and can register you to vote.

Please contact us at (217) 352-6533 to set up a time to get registered OR
come by our office on:
* Tuesday, September 25, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., to register to vote.
* Thursday, October 4, between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m., to register to vote.

To register to vote, you must:
 * Be at least 18 years old on or before November 6. 
 * Be a U.S. citizen.
 * Be a resident of that precinct for at least 30 days prior to election
day.

If you can, please bring with you two forms of acceptable identification.
Both forms of ID must show your name and one must show your current
address. Acceptable forms of ID include:
 * Illinois state driver's license or state ID
 * Social Security card
 * Hunting or fishing license
 * FOID card
 * Student ID
 * Copy of lease or rent receipt showing address
 * Library card
 * Any piece of postmarked mail delivered to your current address

** If you have been in prison, have been convicted of a felony, are on
probation, or you are homeless, you CAN register to vote! If you are on
parole or probation, you NEED to re-register to vote. **

YOU MUST REGISTER TO VOTE BY OCTOBER 9, 2012 TO VOTE IN THE NOVEMBER 6,
2012, GENERAL ELECTIONS.

GOING TO VOTE!

What You Need To Know When You Go To Vote:
 * You do NOT need to show your Voter Registration card to vote.
 * You MAY need to show a picture ID the first time you vote, if you used
the "Motor Voter" form to register.

Finding Your Precinct & Polling Place:
 * Your Voter Registration card lists your precinct's polling place.
 * If you are unsure of where to go, call the Champaign County Clerk's
office at (217) 384-3720 or visit www.champaigncountyclerk.com.
 * You can also use Project Vote Smart (see below). 

Absentee Voting:
 * Absentee voting is open Sept. 27 - Nov. 2.
 * You can vote in person at the Champaign County Clerk's Office OR by
mail.
    
Early Voting:
 * Early voting is open Oct. 22 - Nov. 3.
 * You can vote in person at the Champaign County Clerk's Office OR at a
designated location.

Voting at the Polls:
 * Election Day is Tuesday, November 6, 2012.
 * The polls are open from 6 a.m. - 7 p.m.
 * Vote at your designated polling place.
