[Peace-discuss] [Peace] Glenn Greenwald at U of I College of Law, *Room D*, noon Monday 4/22 - "Drones at our doorstep: Executive power and civil liberties post 9/11"

On the other hand, Niloofar, this was a grand "coup" due to the initiative of a small group of ACLU students at the law school. I suspect they were only able to pull it off there if they had an opposing view presented. That Greenwald agreed to come is wonderful.

My guess is that the students just didn't realize that they possibly could have made this into a university wide event. Perhaps there were logistical constraints. That Greenwald is appearing means that he could have presented an additional talk to the university/community. I have to wonder if Greenwald is coming only for this event?

Yes, it is a wonderful opportunity to have him, but also a missed opportunity for a larger audience.

This is a travesty-terrible publicity. A medium size room; are they crazy? We should complain to the Law School for their exclusivity or may be their incompetence. This has happened several times before. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Stuart. Everyone should go.
