[Peace-discuss] AWARE hopscotch - let's try White Horse again for today's meeting. + yesterday's Market and 2/5 film on the war on drugs

Given the choice between predictability and beer, let's go for beer 
today.  At Ron's suggestion let's try ...

     ... holding today's AWARE meeting at the White Horse this afternoon.

Yesterday we did have our first Middle Market event - Ron, Karen, 
Stuart, and also Bobbi Trist of the CUCPJ jail committee were at the 
table.   We had a "poster" talking about torture and Zero Dark Thirty's 
propagandistic support of it, and copies of several articles about the 
film, besides our usual set of flyers.  Had some good conversations 
around these.

Bobbi handed out nearly 50 (!!) flyers for a Feb. 5th CUCPJ 
film+conversation event, on the War on Drugs -- "The House I Live In".

CUCPJ is also bringing, in late Feb, two national activists - law 
enforcement people who are speaking out against the drug war. They're 
looking for support.   I'm going to propose that AWARE offer some.


Something else happening at the same time is the MLK gathering at 
Krannert Center, which also starts at 5pm this evening.  So I hope 
today's meeting will be short.
