I agree with David, success of actions leads to further actions. Many people simply don't believe their actions will accomplish anything in respect to what the government is doing, we have to continue convincing them otherwise. It's also more relevant to many to focus on local issues as opposed to those they view as more remote.  I personally think unless something is done about climate change, nothing we do or succeed in doing will matter in the long run.
  
 I disagree with Mr. Francis suggestion that belief in the "Conspiracy Theory of 9/11" "should be a litmis test of an activists true intentions". Most activists I know, members of Socialists organizations, etc., dismiss 9/11 conspiracy theory. Those who have openly spoken out against US government policies providing valuable information and ideas related, also tend to dismiss the suggestion that the 9/11 attack was instigated by the US Government. Two of note: Noam Chomsky, Naomi Klein.  I don't think anyone denies it totally, just that without concrete proof it may not be worth pursuing. That is not to say you don't have a right to believe as you do, or that you may not be proven right one day.
