Dear Robert,

Recently we asked
you<http://wfc2.wiredforchange.com/dia/track.jsp?v=2&c=SfzLriV%2FSCJypznj%2Bx07e6fBI9YXIHBs>to
contact your member of Congress and ask him/her to sign the Dent-Price
letter – a letter urging President Obama to seize the opportunity presented
by the recent election in Iran to try to re-energize U.S.-Iran diplomacy.

Thousands of you responded to our call, and your representatives took
notice.

In the end 131 members of Congress, including both Republicans and
Democrats, put their names on the Dent-Price letter. This is a major
success for any letter, and an even bigger success given how radioactive
(no pun intended) Iran-related issues are on Capitol Hill.

A full list of the letter’s signers is below – you can check it to see if
your member signed on. And then we need you to take one more action.

*If your member is one of the 131 members of Congress who signed the
Dent-Price letter, click here to thank them for doing the right
thing*<http://wfc2.wiredforchange.com/dia/track.jsp?v=2&c=1Jexu7URYch1SFNyZZnFUcXdaN9oeU0T>
.

*If your member isn’t on the list of signers of the Dent-Price letter,
click here to send them a message letting them know you, as a constituent,
are disappointed in them.

Few would have predicted that the Dent-Price letter would attract so many
signers or such a diverse group. The fact that it did so is a testament to
the broad support and energetic grassroots activism mobilized in support of
the letter. Indeed, the success of the Dent-Price letter demonstrates how
important it is that members of Congress hear from you – now and in the
future. Never doubt for a minute that your opinion matters to your elected
officials, whether with respect to Iran, or Israel-Palestine, or any other
issue.

Sincerely,

Lara Friedman
