[Peace-discuss] Pentagon Has No Idea What 108, 000 Contractors Are Doing

The term 'contractor' conflates Blackwater-style mercenaries with people who are supposed to be building something - if there are any of the latter.

This is what Obama means by 'winding down' the war and 'withdrawing' from Afghanistan.

His flat-out lies arise from his deep fear that Americans will find out what he's doing in the 'Greater Middle East' - indeed, globally - and he will suffer the fate of Lyndon Johnson and Richard Nixon - driven from office because of a vastly unpopular, criminal war.

CRS, along with the Government Accountability Office, also determined that the Pentagon is unable to properly document the work these contractors are doing. And the information DOD is receiving is often unreliable and inaccurate.

That means there are 1.6 contractors for every American soldier in Afghanistan. This is an increase from last month, when The Fiscal Times reported that there were 1.4 contractors per American soldier.
