[Peace-discuss] today @ AWARE: 4th of July parade: "United We Stand, Proudly We Serve"

The 4th of July is coming, and AWARE needs to decide whether we'll have 
an entry in this year's parade.
Submission deadline is next Saturday, June 15th.

This year's theme:

/United We Stand, Proudly We Serve/

They're thinking of police and firefighters. *What can we do with 
this?***Conscientious objectors?  Unionized teachers?   Workers for peace?

Good news, remembering last year's awful heat: they have shifted the 
parade *two hours earlier*, to start around 11AM.

Today's AWARE meeting starts as usual around 5pm at the White Horse bar 
on John St near 6th.  (I'll be there but may be late.)   Hope we can 
talk about this there, or via e-mail any time over this week.
