Thanks for making me aware of Illinois EPA response - they should also
totally expose Linda K May for the fraud that she is - she is NOT an
International Toxics Expert unless one's making such a claim three
times and throwing pixie dust (or toxic mold) into the air before
making some other incantation makes one such an expert. May has ZERO
credentials to make this claim. She is an Illinois Registered Nurse,
her only credential. She has no toxics credentials whatsover. She
has been administratively fined by the Texas State Department of
Health for falsely representing herself as a "mold expert" in that
state. A full copy of that document that I obtained using the Texas
equivalent of FOIA can be provided to anyone who writes me directly -

Roger

"On October 16, 2013, Linda K. May, who introduced herself as an
international toxics expert, reported that private wells located south
of Chanute AFB had been sealed due to contamination by dioxins. Ms.
May requested that someone resample these wells for dioxins. "

I have researched Ms May in much more detail. She, like her
colleague, Douglas Lind Rokke from Rantoul, who probably enticed her
to the Restoration Advisory Board meeting where May made these claims
(Rokke is member of the Board, no real application or credentials are
required, just local residency and an interest in the cleanup and
restoration of the former Chanute AFB) - Rokke appears to have falsely
represented himself in these public meetings and to fellow members of
the board as a "scientist" instead of as a PhD in Vocational Education
with a BS in Physics and Criminal Justice). Rokke has also portrayed
himself as a "forensic scientist" - he was very briefly employed as a
very junior (fresh out of college!) criminalist by the Joliet Police
Department. He was laid off due to budgetary reasons six months after
he had been hired.

I have excerpted the Texas Department of State Health Services Default
Order (Docket 537-09-3246) dated 16th day of August 2009 below

Linda K May was administratively fined $2,500 for performing a mold
assessment without a Texas license. May possesses no licensure or
credentials for mold assessment.

"Finding of Fact No. 2

On or about July 4, 2008, Linda K May performed assessment of
Brownsville Fire Station 6, Brownsville, Texas, by conducting on-site
inspection of the building and evaluating the mold. At the time of
the mold assessment, Linda K May was not licensed as a Mold Assessment
Consultant. As a result of the investigation, it was determined that
Linda K May violated 25 TEX. ADMIN. Code section 295.312(a) which
requires that an individual be licensed as a mold assessment
consultant to perform mold assessment activities. In accordance with
25 TEX. ADMIN. Code section 295.331, the proposed penalty is a
Critical Violation, Severity Level I, First Occurrence.

May requested a hearing, but failed to appear and the penalty of
$2,500 was thus imposed.
