This is a three-fer.

1. If you are against the war, you should oppose the money for more war.
2. Admin wants money for a war that Congress has not debated and voted on.
Congress should debate and vote on the war first. So says: the
Constitution, the War Powers Resolution, and Schoolhouse Rock democracy.
3. Budget watchdog groups say that the Pentagon does not need the money
anyway, on top of its half a trillion dollar base budget, on top of the
budget it already has specifically for "overseas and contingent
operations."

Dear Robert,
Urge your reps to oppose funding for a new war without a debate & vote on
the war.

Sign our petition
<http://org.salsalabs.com/dia/track.jsp?v=2&c=XK8p5kbdgqx2f8MnYmiDEfWsgmqYhNw2>

The Administration has requested $5 billion in new funding for the new war
in Iraq and Syria. But Congress *has not yet debated and voted* on an
authorization for the use of military force [1], and budget watchdog groups
say *the Pentagon can easily find the money* in the massive budgets it
already has. [2]

*Urge your Representative and Senators* to oppose any new funding for war
in Iraq and Syria until Congress has debated and voted on an authorization
for the use of force and the Pentagon has explained why it needs more money
on top of the massive budgets it already has, *by signing our petition at
MoveOn*.

accountability by signing and sharing our petition:*
