 While the Security Council resolution calls for the Houthis to “immediately and unconditionally end violence,” it says nothing about the airstrikes being carried out on a daily basis by a coalition of Arab Gulf States headed by Saudi Arabia.
 
 Top Story Security Council passes arms-embargo resolution on Houthi 
The United Nations Security Council on Tuesday passed a legally binding resolution banning arms sales to three Houthi rebel leaders, the former president of Yemen and several others. The resolution calls for UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon to "facilitate" humanitarian aid deliveries. Meanwhile, Zeid Ra'ad Al Hussein, the UN human rights chief, wants an investigation launched into the large number of civilian deaths from the Yemen conflict.
