Sarah Morken from the Tacoma $ 15 NOW Campaign - Will call into the program
to talk about the grassroots rank and file Worker campaign in Tacoma
Washington that organized to get a $ 15 per hour minimum wage ballot
initiative for voters in Tacoma to vote on. What the results of that
initiative were and who the surprising opposition was .

Paul Simons of the Rojava Solidarity Network in NYC

will call into the program to talk about the revolutionary region of Rojava
Kurdistan, located in northern Syria.

Rojava started as a fight for the Kurdish people and has evolved into a
regional home for ; Kurds, Arabs, Syrians, Turks, Armenians, Chechens and
other ethnic groups which includes Muslims, Christians, Agnostics and
Atheists.

Rojava is also a Worker controlled democratic confederation with Worker
cooperatives. Woman not only have equal rights but are also in many of the
military and governance leadership positions. There are almost as many woman
soldiers as male soldiers fighting the Islamic State. The Rojava fighters
have survived attacks from both ISIS and the Turkish military.
