[Peace-discuss] let's put solar panels on our houses together

Let's make this a joint project: put solar panels on our houses. Who is
interested?

If you follow the link, there is a simple form based on your address and
utility bill to estimate how much money it would cost to put solar panels
on your house and what the long term impact on your utility bills would be.

Wouldn't it be cool if a bunch of us did this together?

You go around Champaign-Urbana, you hardly see solar panels. You go to
other places - Los Angeles, Vermont, Germany - you see them all over. Why
not here?

If a few of us led the way, others would follow. If we acted together, we
could pool information.

If you own a house, the economics are straightforward. We are all throwing
money in the trash by not putting solar panels on our houses. The
investment pays for itself. Then you have super-cheap electricity.

Subject: Solar savings might not last forever.

the solar tax credit expires.*

Dear Robert,

Right now, solar is growing fast and helping more and more families save
money on their electric bill – but that might not last forever.

*The 30 percent federal tax credit that has allowed so many homes to go
solar is scheduled to expire at the end of next year*1 – and the Republican
Congress is virtually guaranteed not to renew it.

That means the price of going solar could rise dramatically. And if you
don’t lock in solar savings now, you could get left out in the cold -
continuing to rely on dirty energy from your utility that just gets more
and more expensive.

*Now is the time to go solar. Click here to see your solar potential, and
if you could save money with a solar system for as low as $0-down from
Geostellar.*

CREDO has partnered with Geostellar, the nation’s first and largest solar
marketplace, to help you save money by going solar. Geostellar will connect
you with local solar installers, state and federal incentives, and great
financing options to go solar for as little as $0-down. Additionally,
Geostellar guarantees the lowest price, solar within 90 days, and lifetime
monitoring, maintenance and support.

We know the climate-denying Republican Congress2 – elected by huge sums of
money from oil, gas and coal giants – only wants to obstruct any progress
that allows Americans to break free from the grip of our status quo system
of utility-supplied dirty fossil fuel electricity. And thanks to heavily
gerrymandered Congressional district boundaries, Congress is unlikely to
change hands for years.

When you go solar, you supply your own clean, renewable energy from the
sun. And with a home solar system for as low as $0-down from Geostellar,
you lock in a low fixed solar rate for decades. *A recent study found that
in 46 of the 50 largest cities in the U.S. a $0-down home solar system was
a better investment than the stock market!3*

But the cost to go solar could rise dramatically at the end of next year if
Republicans slam the door on your opportunity to lock in solar savings.

*See if you can lock in your solar savings, before the solar tax credit
expires. Click the link below to see your solar potential:*
