It’s surely the case that Americans' resentment of immigrants is not first of all a matter of racism (racial prejudice), as good liberals argue, but a quite real recognition that that their jobs and life chances are being confiscated. The real culprit is neoliberal economic policy as promoted by the Obama administration for most of a decade, and others before that.
