[Peace-discuss] Fwd: George Will Confirms Nixon's Vietnam Treason

This has been clear for a long time. Two points are worth noting:

(1) in the spring of 1968 US business leaders told Johnson to being the war to an end - the costs, economic, military, and political were outweighing potential gains - primarily, demonstrating even more overwhelmingly to the world that no country could purse economic development outside of US world-wide economic hegemony; and  

(2) the anti-war vote elected Nixon (as Johnson and Humphrey feared), because voters believed that he had a “secret plan for ending the war."
