[Peace-discuss] Tax Rally Saturday

I’m not quite sure what "in the name of anarchism” might mean, but I was using the term as description of how AWARE has worked since its founding - as a casual, voluntary association of opponents of US wars, with a minimum of organizational structure, fluid boundaries, and working (if at all) by informal consensus.  (The experiments in the US a generation ago of organization by formal consensus seem to have largely disappeared: <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Consensus_decision-making <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Consensus_decision-making>>.)

Anarchism as a sentiment does contrast with the organizational (and political) theories of several soi-disant Left sects in the US today - theories descended from Lenin's democratic centralism.; it seems to me a preferable model. Unfortunately, ‘anarchism’ today has come to be identified with (e.g.) ‘antifa,’ which is far from - even a contradiction of - the anarchist tradition.
