 I summarized the findings of the recent Piketty/Saez/Zucman data at Counterpunch. This will also be published at some point in the News-Gazette.

You can go down to pages 42-43 for the basic tables on what has happened to the bottom 50% over the past 35 years, compared to the decades following WW11.
It's worth noting, beyond this income data, that the wealth data goes as follows: bottom 90% has 20% of wealth, top 10% has 80%, top 1% has 40%, top. .1% has 20%, top .01% has 10%.
