I think we all need to reread Marx’s “Das Kapital,” the answer to all, lies within. Imperialism, is the last stage of capitalism. 
Therefore, all those capitalists profiting from our imperialism are pulling the strings, and they range across the globe from the US, the KSA, Israel, Russia and China, and all the little nations within. They come in all colors, sizes.  They exist within Iran, Syria, Catalonia, etc.,etc. they are all contributors.
