The ‘higher antisemitism’ that Mort (and apparently you) hold is the belief that much of  US foreign policy is run in the peculiar interests of the Israeli government. Mort goes further to assert that “The USA is now quite literally run by a Zionist Occupation Government, no doubt about it whatsoever”! 

On the contrary, the US is the godfather, and Israel (like the KSA) is a local caporegime. As Kissinger wrote, "Regional groupings supported by the United States will have to take over major responsibility for their immediate areas, with the United States being more concerned with the overall framework of order than with the management of every regional enterprise." 

The US is run by government institutions that serve the interests of dominant social groups in America (‘the ruling class’), influenced as they may be by various interest groups  (‘lobbies’), of which the Israel lobby is not the only one nor even probably the most influential. 

But the ‘higher anti-semitism’ excuses crimes of the US government on the crude and false excuse, 'the Jews [the government of Israel and the Israel lobby] made us do it.'
