The liberals and the libertarians did not speak up, because they were not Julian Assange. 

 

Besides, the liberals and the libertarians argued, Julian Assange has no First Amendment rights. 

 

Julian Assange is an Australian. Only Americans have First Amendment rights. 

 

So argued the liberals and the libertarians, when they came for the First Amendment rights of Julian Assange...
