*AWARE meets every Sunday at 6pm in the YMCA*

Announcements:
* The next AWARE teach in is on Saturday December 15, 2001 from 10am
  til 5:30pm at the McKinley Foundation. Featured Guest Speaker Kate Sorenson
  of Act Up was hand-picked for us by the FBI!
* School of the Americas protesters have returned! and will be on WEFT 90.1 fm
   today (nov26th) at 5pm. Please tune in.
* There will support against the anti-terrorism house bill H.B. 2299 in   
springfield tomorrow. Carpools will leave for springfield tomorrow (Nov 27th)
 from the parking lot between the great impasta and the new art theater at 8   
am.
* There eill be a protest against Henry Kissinger's appearance in St. Louis
  on Dec. 16th. See St. Louis IMC website for further details.
* Thursday Nov. 29th begins a week of resistance and celebration in St. Louis
  starting with a Monsanto birthday protest at noon on the grassy knoll 
outside   Monsanto headquarters. Please call 217-367-6428 if you are 
interested in   planning an Urbana/Champaign contingent.
* Robert Kennedy Jr. will be speaking at Illinois State University on Dec 1.
* The Graduate Employee Organization will stage a 2 day walk-out in the 28th 
and   29th of November. Picketing begins early Wednesday morning outside 
Gregory   Hall. There will be a tent in the quad both days. Please show 
support!

Working Group Reports:

Speakers' Bureau - Letters have been sent to a partial list of potential hosts
  and potential speakers. Waiting for feedback to match hosts with speakers.
Art & Revolution - meets wednesdays to create signs, booklets, posters, and   
revolutionary art at 311 W. High in Urbana. 6pm for potluck 7pm for art
Street Theater - contact Brian Hagy
Direct Action - H.B. 2299 anti-terrorism bill opposition protest in 
springfield   tuesday Nov 27th. components include a sing-in, banners, and 
information   hand-outs. This is a legal protest, there will be no threat of 
arrest. Monday   Nov 26th at 7pm at the IMC there will be song rehearsal, 
banner making and   planning. Song ideas about peace and civil liberties are 
needed.
Media - Teach-in flyers are made please help distribute and post! Places for   
flyers include: campus, insert in Public I, at the Peace Bazaar (with buttons
 too), and at the GEO tent on the quad. Notices sent to community calendars.   
Decided to have fundraiser for teach-in and to cover media expenses, possibly
 at the Canopy Club. Musicians are needed for the fund raiser, talk to Barry   
Miller. An anti-war letter to the editor was printed in the news gazette on   
nov 21. Barry Miller spoke at Urbana High school environmental club. Barry   
Miller has fax numbers for your representatives if you need them.
Ladies Against War - Ladies and Laddies Against War now meets in front of 
Carle   Hospital at University and Orchard. This location is not as cozy and 
has more   traffic. Buy Nothing Day L.A.W. @ prospect was a blast! lots of 
support!
Organizers' Group - looking for facilitators, talk to Raia Fink. Looking for   
performance, charm, testimonials, entertainment at the meetings. Talk to Raia.
  Organizers now meet briefly after the meeting on sundays.
Teach In - Kate Sorenson! Radical Cheers!
  still co-ordinating speakers and sponsors. Interested in state-wide   
outreach/participation. Invite groups you know from other cities or give   
contact info to Peter Miller. Media & Publicity should post to all IMC   
websites within grasp. Hospitality will be provided. Carin Sychterz     
sychterz at uiuc.edu will co-ordinate hospitality so tell her if you need a place
  to stay or have rooms to spare.
Peace Bazaar - Sat. Dec. 1 at the Community United Church. Please shop,   
volunteer, and donate. Most help is needed for clean-up at 3pm.
Web Site - Mike has set up discussion forums for public discussions and   
intragroup co-ordination. PLease use! www.anti-war.net

There are two hours of anti-war programming available every other thursday on 
UPTV channel 6. Talk to Susan Parenti if you want to make this happen!
