>  I. 	People and the Land
>
>      WHEN:	Tuesday, 09 April 2002 from 7-9 PM CST
>      WHERE:	Illini Union Room 314B

>      Film footage and narration of the so called goods day during the
>      "Peace Process" (1997). Discusses and places in context the Israeli
>      regime's concept of "slow transfer", i.e. the cleansing of historic
>      Palestine of it indigenous people, including the policies of pass
>      laws, checkpoints, area/economic closure, housing demolition,
>      property confiscation and destruction, and army and police murder
>      and beatings. The film will have a 5 minute introduction with
>      discussion to follow.

>  II.	Prince El Hassan

>      "Is There a New Opportunity for Peace in the Middle East?," a
>      lecture by HRH Prince El Hassan of Jordan, will be held at 4 p.m. in
>      Tryon Festival Theatre, Krannert Center. The event is free and open

>      DSC or the Divestment Campaign.  Prince El Hassan and Jordanian
>      leadership have been an enemy of the Palestinian people since the
