[Prof. Inger Stole received B.A in Communications from
the University of Washington in 1985. M.A. (1992) and
PhD (1997) both from University of Wisconsin-Madison
in Journalism and Mass Communication.

Her Research interests include: Advertising history,
advertising policy and regulation, marketing and the
public, consumer movements.

Some of her recent presentations include:
*The Advertising Industry Goes to War with America:
Critics and the Fight.

* Over the Excess Profits tax During the Second World
War,". March, 2001.

* "Underwriting the War Effort; The Advertising
Council Organizes the Advertising Industry,
1942-1945,". August, 2000.
