AIRSTREAM TRAILER FULL OF INDY BOOKS COMES TO URBANA

Hundreds of handmade books, journals and zines will be on display in a
vintage airstream trailer at the Bookmobile Project in front of the
Independent Media Center in Downtown Urbana. The bookmobile will open at
5:00 PM on Friday, June 28, and stay for the weekend.  Friday night kicks
off with the Surrealist Subversions Barnstorming Tour at  6 PM, followed by
a showing of the video "D.I.Y. or DIE," at 8 PM, including a reception with
the video's director.

The bookmobile opens up 9 AM Saturday morning and events, workshops and
discussions on bookmaking and  independent publishing will go on all day.
This event is open to the public and everyone is invited to participate.

218 W. Main St. in Downtown Urbana.


Surrealists Tour Urbana: Ron Sakolsky, David Roediger, Gale Ahrens

Surrealists hit Urbana, 6 PM, Friday, June 28 at the Independent Media
Center.  They're kicking off the Surrealists Subversions Barnstorming Tour
Across North America, in support of the new Autonomedia book "Surrealist
Subversions," edited by Ron Sakolsky, editor of "Sounding Off!: Music as
Subversion/Resistance/Revolution" and "Seizing The Airwaves: A Free Radio
Handbook."  Featured participants will be the editor and book contributors,
including radical historian David Roediger, Chicago-based anarchist Gale
Ahrens, and surrealist historian & researcher, Don LaCoss.  This event is
free and open to the public.

The kick-off for the Surrealists Subversions Barnstorming Tour happens 6 PM
Friday June 28 at the Independent Media Center, 218 W. Main St. in Downtown
