Rally Against the War 12 Noon @ South Patio of Union November 11th Veterans
Day

Information leaked to the public suggests that the military action against
Iraq may commence as early as the last week of November. Thus, we are pulling
out all the stops in a last ditch effort to send a message to our leaders that
attacking Iraq is a course of action the American people will not stand for.
In addition to the events listed below, we will also have the 50 foot long
missile out on the Quad the whole day.

Speak out!
Rally against war on Iraq 12 Noon @ South Patio of the Union November 11th
Veterans Day

Hold a sign, cheer for things you agree with, make your voice heard by
attending the rally. The keynote speaker is Reverend James L. Bevel, who was
an instrumental leader during the Civil Rights movement, and one of Martin
Luther King Jr.'s closest advisors. As one of the first people to participate
in sit-ins in the segregated south, Reverend Bevel knows all about speaking
out against injustice.
The flyer for the event can be found here:

Listen, learn, and educate yourself:

Teachers for Peace and Justice will be having a teach in from 1 to 3 in Rm.
210 of the Union. Several history professors will speak, as well as someone
who used to reside in Iraq.
The flyer for the event can be found here:

Act!

24 hour vigil/sleep-out on the Quad:
Starting immediately after the rally, we will start our 24 hour sleep out on
the Quad, braving whatever conditions we might face. We hope that our
non-violent protest will provide an impetus for individuals to question their
beliefs regarding the current administration's policies
on Iraq.
