War is not inevitable: an anti-war rally commemorating one year
anniversary of "Operation Enduring Freedom"

On Monday, October 7th, Student Peace Action will be sponsoring a
demonstration on the north end of quad from 12-1pm to voice their
opposition to a unilateral pre-emptive strike on Iraq and to remember lives
lost within the past year in Afghanistan. Four speakers will address issues
ranging from Constitutional and international law to moral and ethical
infringements by the Bush administration.

Professor of Law Francis Boyle will introduce the campaign to
impeach President George W. Bush. Boyle co-authored Rep. Henry Gonzalez's
(D-Texas) resolution to impeach George H.W. Bush in 1991 and will present
similar arguments for the impeachment of the current president for
violating the U.S. Constitution, U.N. Charter, and international law.

Green Party Candidate and Professor of Sociology Carl Estabrook
will also vioce his concerns about the political ulterior motives of the
Bush administration, namely drawing attention away from the economy and
focusing on war rather than more pertinent demestic issues.

Professor Joe Miller, who is the National Coordinator for Vietnam
Veterans Against the War, will be speaking about his personal experiences
with war.

	Hope to see you there. We are expecting this to be a major event;
part of a nationwide effort on 10/7 to publicize the plight of the
American military industrial complex over the last year.

thanks much,
Matt Reichel
