[Peace] Conscientious Objector at IMC

I wanted to let AWARE know that  Deidre, the woman from C-U that is seeking 
conscientious objector status, stopped by the IMC on Monday, Sept. 1, in the 
afternoon.

She came by to give us a sticker announcing International Answer's call for 
October 25 March on Washington.

As to her petition it sounded as though it was an extended process and that 
there has been intimidation of speaking to news outlets.  She is at Aberdeen 
Proving Ground in Maryland not North Carolina as reported in AWARE minutes 
earlier this summer.

She also talked about walkouts in high schools on October 7 to bring 
attention to the issues around military recruitment in high schools.

She was to return to Maryland today, day after labor day, but she got 
subscribed to the Peace listserv.   She said that she has been keeping in 
touch with Meg Miner.
