[Peace] Food donations today (Sunday) until 5pm for Katrina survivors in Laurel, MS

All,
 
Please note that you may drop off food donations until 5pm today at SAm's CLub for the family from Laurel, MS.  THey will drive the truck directely to Laurel and deliver your food.  
 
Please come out and donate what you can, collect from your neighbors, and/or bring boxes and tape and help us box up the food that we have collected from shoppers at SAm's Club.
 
It has been wonderful collecting food from my neighbors who are only too happy to help but don't know what to do. One neighbor went to the store and bought boxes, another offered his truck to help transport the food we have collected in our neighborhood and many many others have donated food! 
 
This food will go directly to the people who need it!

The truck at Sam's Club may be there past 3pm.  Please call CArol Ammons, 721-8330, if you get this message after 3pm and want to donate food as the truck may still be there.
 
I am going around my neighborhood collecting food in a wheelbarrow which I will take to Sam's Club.  Just a thought for others who might want to  help, too.

A family from Laurel, Mississippi who has relatives in Champaign and Homer, IL are in the parking lot of Sam's Club right now collecting food donations to take to people in the rural town of Laurel, MS. Laurel is about 120 miles north of Biloxi, Mississippi which was hard hit by the hurricane.

They said people from the rural towns have come inland to Laurel for help.  They need food more than anything else.  

Please bring your nonperishable food items to Sam's CLub today.  You can't miss them. They have signs and are next to a horse trailer.They hope to levae today at 3pm to deliver the food back to Laurel.
