A new "mockumentary" explores what the United States might be like today if
the Confederate Army had conquered the North, and wonders if things are so
different after all.....

This film, called "easily the nerviest film about race, religion, and
American imperialism ever made" (Robert Wilonsky, New Times) is taking the
country by storm and provoking important discussions about race and power.
This is so far the only screening scheduled for central Illinois. 

"Confederate States of America" is co-sponsored by Department of Landscape
Architecture, African-American Studies and Research Program, Center for
African Studies, and Together Encouraging Appreciation for Multiculturalism
