This week there are a number of very important hearings/inquests  
regarding rather high profile court cases
of local public interest.  Three of them involve abuse of power/ 
position by local law enforcement personnel.  If you have time, you may
want to attend one or more of these.  We need to keep the "public  
eye" on our criminal justice system.

1. Rob Green, Wednesday, 9:00 am, Courtroon B
	(Issue of a young black man being overcharged "felony" because he  
didn't give his real name.)
2. Officer Garrett, Wednesday, 11:00 am, Courtroom B
	(Issue of abusing his position as a Champaing police officer to  
intimidate and harass his ex-wife and boyfriend.)
3. Quentin Larry Corner's Inquest, Thursday, Urbana Civic Center,  
11:15 am
	(Issue of cause of death in the county jail.)
4. Sgt. Myers, Friday,  Courtroom B, 1:30 pm
	(Issue of county deputy tasering inmates in the county jail.)
