Tomorrow Thursday, March 1, Amy Goodman award-winning host of Democracy Now!
Radio/TV national news show will interview renowned New York Times columnist
Bob Herbert about his 3-part series championing Gary Tyler.

The interview was recorded in Louisiana State Penitentiary in Angola in the
90's by Tyler family friend Maia Weerdmeester, now a coordinator of the Free

Gary Tyler Committee (the interview will be accompanied by Maia's photos of
Gary in prison.

Juanita Tyler, Gary's mom and Bobbi, Gary's sister will appear on the show
as well from a studio in New Orleans.

As a 15-year-old African American Louisiana teenager in 1974, Gary was
tortured, framed and sentenced to death, amidst racist backlash
against court-ordered school desegregation. Wrongly convicted of
murder, he has has remained in prison for more than thirty-two years

-- with no end in sight -- for a crime he did not commit.
