Urbana IMC members recently traveled to Nairobi, Kenya work with
independent journalists from Africa during the World Social Forum.

Through photos and audio interviews, you will learn about:
- how we built two radio stations in two weeks
- the World Social Forum and upcoming US Social Forum
- barriers in Independent Media in Africa
- the birth of the first community radio station in the slums
- the ongoing collaboration between the Urbana Independent Media
Center and Kenya IMC to establish a radio stations as empowerment
tools to address the housing and health care crises in the slums.
