Is someone willing to participate in this UFPJ telephone hook-up to
represent AWARE?
It concerns organizational matters of UFPJ.
Whomever would should respond before next Thursday, when the hook-up

> Dear UFPJ Member Groups,
>
> As part of preparation for the 3rd UFPJ National Assembly (June
> 22-24 in Chicago), we need to look at our Organizational Structure
> to see if any adjustments or changes should be proposed for
> consideration at the assembly. The assembly planning committee
> decided to ask you, the member groups of UFPJ, to participate in
> this. We know how busy everyone is, but we hope you'll take the
> time to look at this.
>
> Next Thursday, May 10th, at 8:30 pm (east coast time) we will hold
> a conference call that will be open to representatives of all UFPJ
> member groups. That call will be divided into two sections. The
> first part will address the structure of UFPJ, and the second will
> address the process for electing the new national steering
> committee of UFPJ. In order to facilitate those discussions we are
> sending you two documents:
>
> 1) the present Organizational Structure of UFPJ - http://
> www.unitedforpeace.org/article.php?id=1873
> 2) an overview of how the elections for the UFPJ national steering
> committee were handled at the previous assemblies - http://
> www.unitedforpeace.org/downloads/election process.doc
>
> As always, we hope your group will be able to look at these
> documents and have some discussion before the call next Thursday.
> The people who get on that call should represent the thinking of
> their groups, and not be speaking just as individuals.
>
> You must tell us in advance if you, or someone from your group,
> will be in the call on May 10th. Send an email to
> organizing at unitedforpeace.org to let us know if you'll be on the
> call. We will then send you the number to call into, and the access
> code. If there is a great deal of interest we will consider setting
> up another call to make sure we can accommodate everyone.
>
> Call the national office if you have any questions: 212-868-5545.
>
> We also want to encourage all of the UFPJ member groups to discuss
> the Draft Strategic Framework and the Draft Comprehensive Program
> Proposal and get your feedback in by May 11th so we can make
> revisions and send you a second draft to look at. Please look at
> the memo we sent you on April 30th for details.

> Finally, it is not too early to register for the assembly: http://
