Subject: "Stratcom: The Gun That's Still Loaded"

Hello All,

You probably know that the U.S. Strategic Command (StratCom), (located in my hometown of Omaha), has for years been the site from which a nuclear war would be controlled. But did you know that, since 9/11, its mission has expanded? StratCom is now command central in the U.S. "War on Terror" and for the U.S. plans to dominate space militarily and is responsible for overseeing any Global First Strikes, the National Security Agency's "warrantless wiretaps," and Ballistic Missile Defense.

My friend Frances Mendenhall has made an important film about the transformation of StratCom, called: "Stratcom: The Gun That's Still Loaded." If you would like a free copy of this one-hour film on DVD, please respond to this email, or write directly to Frances at francesmendenhall at yahoo.com. We would be happy to send you a copy. For more information about StratCom and the April 11, 2008 Rally at StratCom and Conference in Omaha, please go to the Nebraskans for Peace website at: http://www.nebraskansforpeace.org/ASCO/welcome.php). The Rally and Conference are sponsored by Global Network Against Weapons & Nuclear Power in Space.

And please help us spread the word by forwarding this email widely. Building global awareness is essential if we are to get StratCom to back away from the brink. StratCom today is the most dangerous place on the face of the earth. It is secretive. Its mission is destabilizing. It operates outside the law. And its transformation has occurred so quickly that most of the world is completely unaware of it.

Peaceful day,

Marina

P.S. "StratCom: The Gun That's Still Loaded" will be aired here in Madison, Wisconsin on WYOU Public Access TV, Cable Channel 4; I will be sending out another email to let you know the date and time.
