"AWARE on the Air," a televised report on the activities of the Anti-War
Anti-Racism Effort of Champaign-Urbana, will be cable-cast this evening at 10pm
on Urbana Public Television, cable channel 6.

Tonight's program includes

Karen Medina - on local events of the past week and some upcoming events
Linda Weber – on guns and hope (not the same thing)
Conrad Wetzel – on a campaign about the cost of the war
David Green – on anniversaries of 1948, and the old and new cold wars
David Harley – on the Iranian situation, and its somewhat occluded appearance
in the presidential campaign

I manage the odd remark or two and conclude with a comment on US withdrawal from
Iraq, which (I apparently neglected to mention) comes largely from Noam Chomsky.

We also mention that Phillipe Sands' devastating book, "Torture Team: Rumsfeld's
Memo and the Betrayal of American Values," is published this week. And this
government is doing it in our name.

Comments on tonight's program -- and participation in future programs -- are
welcome. --CGE
