[Peace] AWARE on the Air (OK, the cable) tonight at 10

In what can only be called a pregnant pause in the conventions of the permitted
political parties, "AWARE on the Air" shows its baby bump on UPTV (ch. 6)
tonight at ten -- and soon, soon (I promise, really I do) on www.anti-war.net.

Tonight's nursery of nostrums include

   --"On the Election" by Linda (One-Bee) Weber (to whom Bee apologies for my
orthographical failure);
   --"Notes on Privatization" by Barbara Kessel, who also updates us on local
events;
   --"The PTSD Panel," by Conrad Wetzel, who also adds some local religious events;
   --"Weasel-Speak" by Ron Szoke, who doesn't do it but describes it; and
   --"The War Goes On" by yr. obdt. servt., who also doesn't...

There is then a general discussion of how federal, state and local police
are working overtime (and you pay) at the Republican National Convention
precisely to illustrate the truth of the late poet Brendan Behan's maxim,

"There is no human situation so desperate, that the presence of a policeman
cannot make it worse."

	--CGE

(PS--As the presidents of Iran and Bolivia [where the CIA killed Che Guevara]
meet and agree to stand together against imperialism, I wonder if Sarah Palin
would agree with the remark [probably apocryphal] attributed to Che Guevara,
that "It's easier to kill a guerrilla in the womb than in the hills.")
