INTRODUCTORY ARABIC COURSE 
Spring 2009 

During the last decade or so, due to rapid globalization, and increased 
awareness of living in a pluralistic society, acquisition of second
language, 
and in particular Arabic has assumed importance for effective 
communication and cultural understanding. 

Learn the Arabic alphabet. Construct Arabic noun and verb sentences, 
and be able to comprehend and engage in short conversations about 
familiar topics. The course will also familiarize students with cultural
nuances. 

Students of any level may apply. Applicant's level will be assessed upon
registration prior to the first class. The course syllabus will be
tailored 
accordingly. 

Class Time: 
Every Saturday from 2:00pm to 3:00pm 
Every Tuesday from 6:00pm to 7:00pm 

Course Duration: 
10 weeks, starting Saturday, February 7 

Course Fee: $100
