Khalded abu Toamah is described this way by As'ad Abu Khalil, the "Angry Arab":

From the Angry Arab blog:

But then again, if I read an article in the Jerusalem Post that does not contain at least 10 lies, I usually am surprised. Aghast, really. What do you expect from a newspaper whose in-house expert on Arab affairs is Khaled Abu Toameh who seems to fabricate interviews with "senior Hamas officails" or "senior Fatah people" who always tell him how much they like Netanyahu.

I don't know if I spelled his name right, but this guy is quite something. He was featured in the Obsession "film" and is willing (for a modest fee) to tell you how backward and uncivilized Arabs/Muslims are. He is the token Arab in the Jerusalem Post: what do you expect. You should see his recent articles. It is always some outrageous opinion (like "Palestinians adore Revisionist Zionism") and he unfailingly attributes his quotations to "a very senior Palestinian official" or a "high ranking Fatah official" or "you will not believe who told me this" or "the most knowledgeable person in Palestine" or "an Israeli who posed as a Palestinian in an Israeli intelligence office".

Any word, any sentence, any article that is vomited by the so-called Khaled Abu Toameh should be read as a propaganda press release by Israeli terrorist army. And notice that when you hear this guy talking, his English is very halting, and the articles don't reflect that. A coincidence, I am sure. But for New TV to reproduce an article by Abu Toameh is plain stupid. I mean, look how he writes: "Upon hearing of Siam's death, several Fatah representatives in the West Bank expressed deep satisfaction, while others openly rejoiced. Fatah-controlled news Web sites published comments from Fatah supporters who went as far as thanking Defense Minister Ehud Barak for ordering the assassination of the top Hamas official." Who told him? Which website? He never ever mentions sources. Also, let me guess: the person who wrote thanks for Defense Minister Ehud Barak was none other than....Khaled Abu Toameh.

If there is an award for services to Zionist propaganda (outside of the US Congress and US media) it should be given to Khaled Abu Toameh of the Jerusalem Post. When he can't find "news" that is favorable to Zionist propaganda, he just makes it up. Just like that.

A student from UC, Berkeley (who wants to remain anonymous although I know who she/he is) sent me this: "Tonight, Stand With Us and the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies brought self-described Israeli Arab Khaled Abu Toameh to UC Berkeley. He is the senior correspondent of Palestinian affairs for the Jerusalem Post, and the Palestinian affairs producer for NBC News. He was brought to hail free speech in Israel, and to condemn the lack of a free press in Palestine. He had this insight to offer: "The Arab people are emotional people. We dance in the streets for everything and we don't even think about it. We are experts in shooting ourselves in the foot." One of the audience members asked him if he also wrote in Arabic or appeared on television in the hopes that his words would reach the Arab masses. He circled around the question and praised his own humility for one of the reasons that he doesn't appear on any other media: "I just want to be a
little reporter, I don't even want to be senior editor of the Jerusalem Post" he said. But then he added: "the reason Al Jazeera would not invite me (and I've never tried to go on) is that if I did come on, I would also have to tell them that I hate the Jews and that everything is the Jews' fault. So I cannot go on to citicize the Palestinians only." But if you want to know the real reason why he is appreciated by right-wing Israeli press, it's not because they love freedom of speech. It's because he had this to say about the occupation. "The wall that Israel is building," he said, "and the checkpoints, should all have the following written on them: Made By Yasser Arafat and Hamas." He also said that "if it were up to me, I wouldn't pull out from the West Bank either under the current circumstances." He also stated that Hamas and Fatah should not be dealt with diplomatically until they proved they were "moderate" by recognizing Israel's right to exist,
 renouncing violence, and accepting Oslo."
