The Obama administration is re-running the 2002 Venezuela coup in Honduras...
The Obama administration is re-running the 1962 South Vietnam invasion in
Afghanistan (complete with "strategic hamlets"), perhaps to honor the memory of
the late Robert McNamara, avatar of the "soulful corporation," responsible for
millions dead in SE Asia...
...so AWARE On the Air (AOTA), cocking a snoot at MSM, which gives us only evil
Iranians and dead pop stars, will re-run last week's animadversions at 10pm
tonight on Urbana Public Television, cable channel 6.
Karen Medina, Ron Szoke, and yr. obdt. servt. recorded a new AOTA today,
complete with balloons and Stuart Levy's pictures of the splendid posters
constructed for the AWARE July 4 float.
The private corporation called the "Champaign County Freedom Celebration"
decreed the theme of this year's July 4 parade to be the "Lasting Legacy of
Lincoln."
To their credit, the parade's organizers were overcome with remorse at the last
moment, emotionally paralyzed at the contradiction involved in running a
celebration of a successful anti-colonial revolution at the very time the US is
spending billions and killing thousands to suppress anti-colonial revolutions
half way around the world. So they canceled the parade. TV stations will rerun
last year's...
In the spirit of the day, today's AOTA is prevented by technical difficulties
from being shown tonight. The wars are re-reruns, and so are we.
But here's our calendar of recent & upcoming antiwar events, with thanks to
Randall Cotton for the minutes of last Sunday's AWARE meeting:

distribute to motorists and passers-by each month.

held the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month for stress reduction. This free
clinic is open to U.S. military veterans, current members of the Armed Forces,
or their immediate support network. Sponsored by Acupuncturists Without Borders

<http://www.endtheoccupation.org/downloads/FY2010BudgetOpenLetter.pdf>. A
formal letter has been sent by an AWARE member to Sen. Durbin regarding

with AWARE. We'll inform you of the date and place of the meeting: we hope you
can plan to attend.

Kentucky), & Cindy Sheehan. For more information: <info at midwestlibertyfest.com>

On this day, July 7, in 1846, American troops occupied Monterey and Yerba Buena,
beginning the United States' invasion of Mexico; the U.S. eventually took over
half of Mexico in a war that Congressmen John Quincy Adams & Abraham Lincoln
condemned as a "presidential war":
