[Peace] Community leaders respond to Toto Kaiyewu case

A press conference will be held on Thursday, June 25 at 12:30 at the
Independent Media Center (202 S. Broadway, Urbana).



The tragic shooting of Toto Kaiyewu on April 6 will be addressed by a
coalition of community groups and leaders:



Aaron Ammons, CU Citizens for Peace and Justice

Tracy Parsons, host of *Strait Talk Live*, 1580 WBCP

Erma Bridgewater, long-time community activist and former head of Douglass
Center

Patsy Howell, Muslim American Society


This is in response to a coroner's inquest today that ended with a ruling of
"justifiable homicide"

by a coroner that dodged questions from the jury and failed to ask any
probing questions herself.
