AWARE's monthly anti-war demonstration -- usually 2-4pm on the first Sat --
would conflict with the Unity March, so let's not do that.

Instead, let's march with the Unity March, recognizing as Rev. M. L. King did
that our endless wars and our social inequality are part of a single system,
and that "a nation that continues year after year to spend more money on military
defense than on programs of social uplift is approaching spiritual death."

We'll bring some of AWARE's peace signs to the starting point --
*noon*, this Saturday, at the Champaign City Building -- in case
anyone would like to carry one in the march.

Here's Brian Dolinar's announcement of the march:

> The 6th annual Unity March is this Saturday, Oct. 3.
> It will be kicking off from the Champaign City Building, traveling down
> University Ave, and ending with a rally at the Champaign County courthouse.
> There will be a reception at the Independent Media Center.
>
> This year's march is addressing the current economic crisis.
> We are collecting donations for the Safe Haven community (blankets and
> bedding).
>
> Rain or shine, we will march.
> We can weather this storm together.
>
