SJP has been formally invited to attend an IlliniPAC event where an IDF
soldier will speak about the "high morals" of the IDF. We are requesting
that any members of AWARE, CAN or ISO who are able to attend will please do
so, and bring targeted questions to help raise our voices against the
brutality of the Israeli Occupation.

-This comes from the facebook event page:

Date:
Tuesday, April 13, 2010
Time:
8:00pm - 9:00pm
Location:
Cohen Center, 5th and John

"On Tuesday, a visiting Israeli soldier will come to U of I to talk about
the challenges of fighting terror organizations who are using guerilla
fighting in the heart of civilian population. The state of Israel is
battling the front line of the war against terror. The soldier will talk
about the moral challenges and the way the *Israeli Defense Forces are
enforcing the highest moral code* on their soldiers despite the challenges
they face."

-Message to SJP from Hillel.

Hi,

My name is Jessica Ost and I am the Israel intern at Hillel, the
center for Jewish life on campus.

I am emailing you to invite you and the Students for Justice in
Palestine to an event next week on Tuesday, April 13 at 8:00
p.m. at Hillel at 503 E. John Street (corner of 5th and John).

We will have a sergeant from the Israel Defense Forces come to
campus to discuss his experience as a front liner fighter and the
rules of the Israel Defense Force. He personally asked us to
invite other groups on campus and said that he would answer
any question that would be asked in a respectable manner.

We would really like to see you at the event.

Please email me if you have any questions.

Sincerely,
Jessica Ost
