Ralph Nader was a candidate for President of the United States on the Green
Party ticket in 1996 and 2000 and as an independent in 2004 and 2008. He is the
author of several books, including "Unsafe at Any Speed," an indictment of the
auto industry published in 1965. As a consumer and political activist he has
spoken out on a variety of issues, including health care, food safety,
environmental pollution, worker rights, tax reform, civil rights, and corporate
influence.
