[Peace] needed: local volunteer opportunities; facilitators, and participants for Alternative Spring Break "volunteerism" trips

ASB is looking for local opportunities where the groups can volunteer
together before they go on their Alternative Spring Break trips.

ALTERNATIVE SPRING BREAK TRIPS
If you know someone who would like to go as a facilitator or a student
participant, below is the list of trips Alternative Spring Breaks for
this year. ASB sends approximately 11 U of I student participants and
2 facilitators on nationwide service trips. All [currently registered]
University of Illinois undergraduate and graduate students are
eligible to apply.

Trips during Spring Break will go from roughly March 19/20th - March 27/28th.

* California to work with HIV/AIDS
* Wisconsin to work with Sustainable Agriculture (Anathoth Community Farms)
* Virginia to work with Rural Poverty (Appalachia Service Project)
* Colorado to work with Youth and Community Development (Children's
Outreach Project)
* Colorado to work with Political Activism (Colorado Progressive Union)
* Massachusetts to work with Sustainable Agriculture (Heifer International)
* West Virginia to work with Youth and Womens Rights (High Rocks Academy)
* South Carolina to work with Affordable Housing (Homes of Hope)
* Ohio to work with the Environment (Lake Metroparks)
* Washington DC to work with Hunger and Homelessness (National
Coalition for the Homeless). CURRENTLY ONLY LOOKING FOR MALES TO
PARTICIPATE ON THIS TRIP.
* South Dakota to work with Native American Culture and Children (Sioux YMCA)
* New York to work with Independent Media (The Sanctuary)
* Tennessee for Disability Awareness (United Cerebral Palsy)
* Florida for Disability Awareness (Victory Living)
* Texas to work with Animal Rights (Wildlife Rescue and
Rehabilitation). CURRENTLY ONLY LOOKING FOR MALES TO PARTICIPATE ON
THIS TRIP.
